One of the greatest deceptions the enemy has pulled on believers—especially women—is convincing them that they are weak, powerless, and at the mercy of his attacks. But nothing could be further from the truth.
If you are in Christ, you are NOT a victim. You are NOT a helpless bystander in spiritual warfare. You are seated with Christ in heavenly places (Eph. 2:6), and the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
But if you don’t KNOW this—if you don’t truly grasp who you are in Christ—then the enemy will take advantage of your ignorance.
This is why so many Christians live in fear, constantly worried about demons, curses, and attacks. It’s why some go from deliverance session to deliverance session, always seeking freedom but never walking in it. They have been made free, but they don’t know how to live free.
The Enemy’s Biggest Weapon: Lies
Let’s get one thing straight: Satan has already been defeated. Jesus crushed him at the cross (Col. 2:15), stripped him of his power (Heb. 2:14), and took back the authority Adam lost (Matt. 28:18). The only thing Satan has left is deception.
If he can’t own you, he will fool you.
This is why the Bible warns us not to be ignorant of the devil’s schemes (2 Cor. 2:11). But at the same time, we’re not called to be demon-obsessed, seeing a spirit behind every inconvenience. We are called to be God-conscious.
Listen, demons are not your focus—Jesus is.
You are not fighting for victory; you are fighting from victory. But you can’t walk in that victory if you don’t understand the authority you have.
What is Your Authority?
Jesus did not tell us to ask God to cast out demons.
He did not tell us to beg God to rebuke Satan.
He gave YOU the authority to do it!
“In My name they will cast out demons…” (Mark 16:17)
“Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)
“Behold, I have given you authority… over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means harm you.” (Luke 10:19)
Read that again: YOU have authority over all the power of the enemy. That means Satan is not in charge—you are. And when you resist him, he must flee.
The Greek word for “flee” in James 4:7 means “to run away in terror.”
Did you catch that? The devil is more afraid of you than you are of him,
But here’s the problem: if you don’t KNOW your authority, you won’t USE it.
You’ll cower in fear instead of standing in victory. You’ll beg God for deliverance instead of taking authority and enforcing the victory Jesus already won.
The Only Way The Enemy Wins
The only way the devil can operate in your life is through lies and intimidation.
He’s like a con artist who tricks you into giving up what is already yours.
Imagine this: A skinny little turkey puffs up its feathers, trying to look big. It spreads its wings, stomps its feet, and makes a bunch of noise—trying to convince you it’s terrifying. But if you walk toward it with confidence, it will drop its feathers and run, clucking in fear.
That’s exactly how Satan operates.
He is a liar and a deceiver, but the moment you stand your ground in Christ, he has to back down.
How Do You Resist the Enemy?
Resisting the devil isn’t about screaming or theatrics.
It’s about standing on truth and using the Word of God like a sword (Eph. 6:17).
- Step 1: Know Who You Are – You are a daughter of the Most High. You are seated with Christ and covered in His authority. Satan is already defeated, and he has NO power over you except what you give him.
- Step 2: Speak the Word with Authority – When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, He didn’t argue with Satan. He didn’t panic.
He simply spoke “It is written” and shut him down (Matt. 4:1-11).
- Step 3: Refuse to Fear – Fear is the enemy’s way of getting a foothold. When you meditate on the Word, pray in the Spirit, and stay filled with God’s presence, the devil cannot touch you.
Fear is the open door—faith is the lock that keeps the enemy out.
When You KNOW Your Authority in Christ, Demons Fear YOU.
One of the most powerful testimonies of spiritual authority comes from Smith Wigglesworth.
He was once called to pray for a demon-possessed woman. When he arrived, the demons inside her began screaming and cursing violently. But Wigglesworth didn’t flinch. He simply commanded them to leave in the name of Jesus.
At first, nothing seemed to happen. The woman kept cursing, and it looked like the prayer wasn’t working.
But Wigglesworth didn’t beg. He didn’t pray again.
He just turned toward the door and, before leaving, said one final thing: “I told you to leave.”
At that moment, the demons obeyed. The woman was completely delivered.
Do you see it? Authority is not in your emotions. It’s in your position.
When you know who you are in Christ, you don’t ask demons to leave—you command them.
You don’t hope they listen—you expect them to.
You Are Covered—Nothing Can Harm You
One of the biggest lies the enemy tells believers is that if they step into deliverance, they will face backlash. That demons will “counterattack.” That they are at risk of getting possessed themselves. If you believe that? Well, yeah, you will have to live in the faith camp you choose, every single time. But if you listen to the words of Jesus, you will know better, and that knowing will set you free.
Jesus Himself said: “Behold, I give you authority… over all the power of the enemy, and NOTHING shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19)
You are covered. You are untouchable. You have been GIVEN the authority.
You have the right to dwell in the secret place of the Most High (Psalm 91:1), and no plague, no attack, no scheme of the enemy can come near you (Psalm 91:10). However, if you want to experience that, you have to step into it until you believe it.
It’s Time to Rise Up
It’s time to stop cowering in fear.
It’s time to stop waiting for someone else to come set you free.
It’s time to stop believing the lie that Satan is stronger than you.
YOU have the authority.
YOU have the power.
YOU have the name of Jesus.
Believe it, then use it.
Speak the Word. Stand your ground. Walk in the boldness that is already yours by divine right in Christ.
Because the enemy isn’t winning—he’s lying. And the moment you recognize the truth, his power is broken.
Rise up, woman of God. You were made for victory. 💥🔥
