Prayer for Holy Spirit Guidance and Power
Introduction
In this prayer, we seek the guidance and empowerment of the Holy Spirit to lead us into a life that is abundant and free in Christ. The prayer focuses on spiritual renewal, peace, joy, and forgiveness.
Heavenly Father,
I long to experience the fullness of all that You have made available to me through Christ — a life abundant and free.
I desire the living waters of Your Holy Spirit to flow freely and bountifully in my life.
I yearn to abide in You so fully that Your joy is in me, and my joy is made complete.
Guard my heart and mind
with Your perfect peace. Help me to know Your love that surpasses knowledge so I can be filled with the fullness of God.
Help me see and embrace the divine order that You have established for my life, one where I am led by Your Spirit.
Search my heart and show me where I am out of step with Your Spirit, where I have blocked the flow of Your living water by insisting on my own way.
Please forgive me
for the times I have quenched or grieved Your Holy Spirit. Show me where I have allowed my intellect, emotions, or fleshly cravings to rise above the guidance of Your gentle whisper, obstructing deep fellowship and intimacy with You.
Lead me into all truth
and sanctify me through and through. Flood my life with Your presence, power, protection, provision, and peace.
Help me present my body as a living sacrifice and transform me by the renewing of my mind.
I choose to be fully dependent on You alone, as a branch on the vine.
I am Yours, and You are mine, both now and forever.
