My Story
Scripture Girl – That’s me, Kathleen Johnson
Hello and welcome! You might be wondering, What does being a Scripture Girl mean, and why should it matter to me? I’m so glad you asked.
At its core, being a Scripture Girl is more than a name—it’s a way of life. It’s about building your entire life, from top to bottom, on the unshakable truth of God’s Word. Not just any truth, but the kind that is absolute, unbreakable, and full of power.
Jesus promised us this kind of truth when He said:
“If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31-32).
But here’s the thing—Jesus wasn’t talking about a surface-level knowledge. The Greek word for “know” in that verse, ginosko, refers to deep, experiential knowledge. That’s the kind of knowing that leads to transformation. The kind that sets you free.
I’ve struggled plenty with the difference between knowing God’s promises on paper and believing them all the way down to my core. The Bible says, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2), but here’s the catch: mind renewal doesn’t happen automatically. It takes deliberate, consistent effort.
Without that renewal, there’s no transformation—and no freedom. Instead, you end up stuck in what the Bible calls “double-mindedness,” where doubt and unbelief hold you back. But here’s the good news: it doesn’t have to stay that way!
This is a Place of Breakthrough and Transformation
Through years of walking with God, I’ve learned how to renew my mind and experience the freedom that comes with deep, unshakable faith. I’m here to help you do the same. Together, we’re going to guard our hearts, uproot doubt and unbelief, and replace old patterns with the truth of God’s Word.
Why does this matter? Because when your mind is transformed, everything changes:
- Your relationships.
- Your finances.
- Your career.
- Your sense of identity in Christ.
God’s Word rewires your thinking, rewrites over the lies the world has fed you, and replaces them with His truth. It’s like upgrading your operating system. And the result? True freedom. “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free” (Galatians 5:1).

When you renew your mind, you’ll go from potential to possession. You’ll stop striving and start resting. You’ll walk boldly in your identity as a child of God, fully equipped to live the abundant life He has planned for you.
Freedom is your birthright in Christ. Let’s live it out together.
