My Journey to Spirit Prayer

I grew up in a strong Christian home, surrounded by faith that was deeply rooted and without a hint of hypocrisy. My dad taught Sunday school. My mom played piano and organ. And they lived out their devotion to God in every area of their lives, instilling in me a deep love for Him and His Word—reading it, studying it, memorizing it.

But while our church emphasized biblical teaching, it didn’t teach about spiritual gifts like praying in tongues. So, for a long time, I didn’t even realize this incredible gift was available to me.

It wasn’t until much later, when I was desperately hungry for more of God, that He began to reveal this powerful spiritual practice to me. And when I finally received my prayer language, it was like a key unlocking a door I didn’t even know existed.

Spirit prayer has strengthened me in weakness, helped me overcome fear and discouragement, and brought healing to hidden places in my heart—places I didn’t even realize needed healing. It has deepened my intimacy with God, sharpened my ability to hear His voice, and helped me walk more closely in step with the Holy Spirit.
