Having a life verse (or several) is a powerful tool for spiritual growth because it redirects your focus back to truth. It becomes a constant reminder that:
- You are precious to God.
- You are engraved in the palm of His hand (Isaiah 49:16).
- He is more than willing to keep you in peace if you trust Him.
When we remind ourselves of God’s promises, we stop trying to force outcomes, predict the future, or control things beyond our reach. Instead, we trust. We rest in the truth that He is leading and guiding us in the way we should go(Psalm 32:8).
I used to say, “Trust Him for peace.” That means shifting your focus onto God and receiving His peace in return.
