Encouraging One Another

Devotional
Words can be weapons or wellsprings of life. We all know what it’s like to hear something that breaks us down—but we also know how powerful it is when someone speaks encouragement, hope, or truth over us.
The Bible tells us to be intentional about lifting others up. Encouragement isn’t just something nice we do—it’s a spiritual practice that strengthens the body of Christ. When we remind someone of their worth, their calling, or God’s faithfulness, we’re doing holy work.
Who in your life could use a word of encouragement today? A friend struggling with doubt? A family member feeling unseen? Maybe even yourself? Your words have the power to change the atmosphere. Choose today to be someone who builds others up.
• What part of your past do you still find yourself dwelling on?
• How is holding onto the past keeping you from experiencing the new thing God is doing?
• What step can you take today to trust God with your story?
Prayer:
Lord, help me to be intentional with my words. I want to speak life, encouragement, and truth into those around me. Show me who needs a word of hope today, and give me the wisdom to say what they need to hear. Amen.
Memory Verse:
